STAND UP FOR YOURSELF

So I have went on a couple rants this week. First one was because of a tv show and the second was because of a cocky idiot. Well I figured that I would continue with one more rant for the week to tie the two together. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR BELIEFS! How hard is it?

When I was younger, I never stood up for anything or anyone, I guess I just didn’t have any beliefs. Well things have changed. And I think that all of the whatever attitude has made me come back a little strong. Because now if someone barely steps on my toes, I’m all over them. I just can’t stand and take peoples crap anymore. That’s the problem with our country, everyone just says whatever and never stands up for what they believe in. Some proclaim to, but when it comes down to it, they really don’t.

Politicians say what they want to get the vote. Singers sing what you want to hear, but do something different. Unions support our work force, that is as long as they get the good end of the deal. Everyone I know is getting the shaft, and no one, I mean NO ONE stands up for themselves or there beliefs or anything else.

So my point here is why? Why can’t anyone stand up for anything? Let it be work, family, politics, anything. But everyone just stands around until our liberty and freedoms are gone. Then they say back in the day it was different. Well if back in the day you would have attempted to stop the change maybe we wouldn’t be in such bad shape now.

So this rant is going to have a moral. I’m getting there. We as humans need to start standing up for ourselves. Weather it is our boss, our government, or anyone else. So how do we do that? If someone tries to mug you, STAND UP and fight back. If you boss tries to short your pay or hours, STAND UP and fight for what you earned. If your government is trying to send you to a concentration camp, oh I mean FEMA camp, STAND UP AND FIGHT!!!

My point is we are American’s the land of the free and the home of the brave. First were letting the brave go, next it will be the free.

And through out writing this I keep thinking of Hank Jr’s song Keep the Change. If you haven’t heard it go to his site for a free download. But remember he is one of those singers and he does not truly stand up for his beliefs either.
